When it rains…. it pours.
Thursday night, my oldest came down with the flu in the middle of the night, so I missed what would have been our turn-around day for the new semester. Over the weekend my youngest also came down with the stomach bug, and finally so did yours truly.
Since I don’t want to infect my classes, I decide to do the responsible thing and get a sub. But oh my… SO MUCH WORK!
Our school board starts with a “soft start” for the first three days of a semester. I decided to make a “Find Someone Who…” activity for my grade 10 class focusing on linear relations as a review of our grade 9 curriculum. You can check out the activity here.
I decided that I liked the way the activity turned out so much that I made a similar one for my grade 9’s reviewing the grade 8 curriculum. Once the 9’s are finished with the Find Someone Who… activity, they will work on this mathematician-themed puzzle and then this plotting points on a Cartesian Plane Canadian-themed mystery picture.
Well, I hope that it goes well tomorrow, and looking forward to being 24-hours symptom-free so I can return to the classroom to meet my new classes.
I hope your day is better than mine.
Keep on keeping on.
